Mission Refresh

Mission Refresh

Mission Refresh is the next chapter of our sustainability journey. It focuses on four flagship commitments – climate, water, biodiversity, and communities – with clear, measurable targets to keep us on track.

Our Flagship Sustainability Commitments

Climate

Achieve net zero emissions by 2040

We remain committed to the ambition we set in 2021 and continue to work towards delivering it. Our NetZeroby40 target is approved by Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This goal drives us to achieve net zero emissions across our entire value chain by 2040 – from production plants and logistics to packaging, coolers and ingredients. Within this pathway, we have a 2030 interim target to reduce absolute value chain emissions by 30%. While we are reducing emissions in scope 1 and 2, we are also collaborating with our suppliers and partners across the value chain to reduce indirect emissions in scope 3.

Biodiversity

Achieve a net positive impact on biodiversity by 2040

Introduced in 2022, this commitment aims to achieve a net positive impact on biodiversity in critical areas by 2040 and eliminate deforestation in our supply chain.

Water

Replenish every drop of water we use by 2035

Water is essential to our beverages and production processes. Aligned with The Coca-Cola Company’s goal, we aim to manage water responsibly and fully replenish the amount we use in our beverages with a focus on high-risk locations.

Communities

Be a neighbour of choice for our communities

This goal focuses on creating shared value locally – supporting jobs and skills, partnering with communities, contributing to safety and wellbeing, and protecting local environments.

Measurable Targets to Lead the Industry

While our commitments define the overall direction, a set of measurable targets drives progress across seven pillars of our sustainability strategy: climate, packaging, water, agriculture, nutrition, biodiversity, and people and communities.

The baseline for our targets are anchored in the strongest data and recognised and recognisable methodologies, so our progress is comparable over time.

To demonstrate our ongoing dedication to transparent reporting and consistent delivery, we will continue to track and publish our performance annually.

Accelerate our transition to low carbon operations by:

  • Achieving 100% renewable electricity in the EU and Switzerland by 2035.
  • Reaching 50% renewable energy across our operations by 2035.
  • Screening more than 95% of significant suppliers in areas including sustainability and business relevance.1

Aim to reduce our environmental footprint and support a circular economy by:

  • Reaching 80% collection of our packaging by 2035.
  • Increasing rPET to 40% by 2035.
  • Removing 12,000 metric tonnes of plastic packaging by 2030 (compared with the 2024 baseline).

Protect and restore this essential resource by:

  • Maintaining 100% of wastewater treated and returned to nature.
  • Reducing our Water Use Ratio by 5% by 2035 (compared with the 2025 baseline).

Strengthen sustainable sourcing by:

  • Ensuring 100% of our key agricultural ingredients are sustainably sourced by 2030.2

Support consumer choice by:

  • Ensuring low- and no-sugar sparkling soft drinks grow faster than full sugar variants between 2025 and 2030.

Invest in people and inclusive growth by:

  • Training more than three million young people by 2035 through #YouthEmpowered (since 2017).
  • Achieving 45–50% women in management roles.
  • Targeting zero on-site fatalities.

Protect nature and reduce our impact by:

  • Achieving 100% compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation.3
  • Reducing food waste and loss by 40% by 2030 (compared with the 2019 baseline).

Mission 2025 Highlights

Mission Refresh builds on the strong progress we made in Mission 2025 and what we have learned so far.  The flagship commitments are long-term, ambitious, and will help the company focus on where it can create the most positive impact.

By the end of 2025, we met or made significant progress on the majority of our Mission 2025 sustainability commitments.

Of the 18 targets that we set, nine were delivered ahead of the target year and seven exceeded the commitments.

Our emissions remain aligned with our NetZeroby40 roadmap for the fifth consecutive year.
