Annual Stakeholder Forum

Annual Stakeholder Forum

Every year, we bring together (in virtual format) a group of diverse stakeholders to formally review our sustainability performance and to understand their expectations for the future.

In 2025, 116 representatives from 28 countries, including customers, suppliers, NGO partners, local municipalities, community organisations and other valued stakeholders, came together under the theme 'Power of Place: Driving Measurable Impact in Local Communities'.

The Forum reflected a shared commitment to creating meaningful change at local level. As a business deeply rooted in the communities we serve, the Forum provided a platform to explore how innovation, partnership and collaboration can accelerate social impact where it matters most.

Discussions focused on four key areas:

  • Reshaping social investment to deliver meaningful and sustainable impact.

  • The role of place-based investment in strengthening community resilience.

  • Meaningfully measuring social impact and why it matters.

  • Strengthening local community outcomes through strategic partnerships.

The central message of the 2025 Forum was clear: achieving measurable social impact requires aligning efforts with local needs, the ‘power of place’, while leveraging broad collaboration and accountability.

Key learnings from the Stakeholder Forum included the following:

  • Social impact as a strategic lever: Purpose-led initiatives are now core to business strategy, driving trust, reputation and resilience.

  • Collaboration as a catalyst for change: Multistakeholder partnerships are essential to address complex challenges and deliver scalable, long-term solutions.

  • Mutual value creation: Community programmes must deliver benefits for society and align with business priorities to ensure sustainability.

  • Localisation and contextual relevance: Embedding local insights into programme design amplifies impact and fosters genuine community ownership.

  • Authentic partnerships for scale: Long-term relationships built on trust and shared goals enable sustainable solutions that can grow.

  • Transparency and measurement: Integrated systems for planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning are critical for accountability and credible impact.

These learnings will help shape the ongoing evolution of our sustainability programmes.

In 2024, over 160 participants from more than 30 countries attended our annual Stakeholder Forum, representing customers, suppliers, NGO partners, academics, policymakers and investors. The theme was ‘Harnessing the Circular Economy for Packaging – driving change through innovation and collaboration’, a topic of significant importance both to us and to many of our key stakeholders.

Discussions covered four key topics: empowering consumers to adopt circular packaging solutions; the future of recycling and the role of innovation and technology; reusable packaging systems and how to successfully scale these models; and creating value through strategic partnerships.

The Forum’s central message was the importance of aligning business growth with sustainability to ensure long-term resilience and success.

Key stakeholder insights highlighted that sustainability has evolved beyond an environmental imperative into a social asset shaping consumer identity and brand engagement. Stakeholders also emphasised the critical role of collaboration in accelerating innovation, the need to make sustainable choices more accessible and convenient, and the importance of shared solutions that allow profit and purpose to advance together.

These insights informed our ongoing collaboration with stakeholders and will help shape the continued development of our sustainability programmes.

Closely linked with SDG 6, 2023’s theme was Water Regeneration – partnering to strengthen communities’ resilience and drive economic growth, with a special emphasis on climate resilience, economic growth, and the well-being of people. During the event, we welcomed over 130 participants and the theme was covered in the context of climate resilience, economic growth and the wellbeing of people. Stakeholders proposed collaborative ideas and collective actions that could accelerate progress towards a water-resilient future, identifying levers for change; tapping into the power of partnerships and collaboration; and scaling impactful interventions collectively.

These recommendations were reviewed internally and transferred into measurable actions to to further address water stress, protect local water resources and build community climate resilience and economic empowerment.

Coca-Cola Forum 20

Due to COVID-19 the Coca-Cola Forum in 2020 was a virtual one. With more than 100 stakeholders we discussed climate action in the new normal. We were happy to listen and learn from our three renowned speakers: Lučka Kajfež Bogataj, Professor for Climatology at the University of Ljubljana, Tomas Nauclér, Global Leader of Aftermarket & Services and Sustainability practices at McKinsey and Andrea Cipolloni, CEO of Europe Business Unit at Autogrill. The valuable feedback we gained out of the discussions with our Stakeholders was internally evaluated and then transferred into measurable actions.
