Results for the 2014 six months ended 27 June 2014
Dimitris Lois, Chief Executive Officer of Coca-Cola HBC AG, commented: "We continue to take action to mitigate the impact of the difficult trading conditions caused by depressed consumer sentiment and foreign exchange headwinds, while input cost pressures have abated. Our ongoing initiatives produced another quarter of growth in currency-neutral net sales revenue per case, and we are pleased with our efforts to reduce operating expenses as a percentage of net sales revenue in a very challenging volume environment."
Coca-Cola HBC, Inclusion in the FTSE UK Index Series
On 11 September, FTSE confirmed Coca-Cola HBC’s inclusion into the FTSE 100 and FTSE All – Share indices.
Commenting on today’s announcement, Dimitris Lois, CEO of Coca-Cola HBC, said: “This is another milestone for our company and an important day for everyone in the Coca-Cola HBC family. We are delighted that we are now included in the FTSE 100 and FTSE All – Share indices. We expect this to further benefit our shareholders through enhanced liquidity and our company by facilitating its access to a wider pool of institutional investors.”
Coca-Cola HBC named industry leader in the 2014 Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Coca-Cola HBC was ranked first in the beverages sector out of 30 companies in DJSI World and 10 companies in DJSI Europe. The company’s overall score was 89%, up from 81% last year, and it achieved industry-best scores across the environmental and social dimensions, and more specifically in the areas of health and nutrition, supply chain management, environmental policy, environmental reporting, social reporting, talent attraction and retention, and human capital development.
Sustainable Packaging in Action!
Coca-Cola HBC upholds its commitment to minimizing the environmental impacts of its packaging at every stage of its lifecycle. The company works continuously to optimize the amount of packaging it uses. In this framework, three new bottles were launched in Greece, Italy and Switzerland that are lighter, use less PET and minimize waste volume.
