Coca-Cola Hellenic has supported the entire series of climate Communiqués since 2007. In 2011, we signed the 2°C Challenge Communiqué and we support the message for an "ambitious, robust and equitable global deal on climate change."

Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes

Dow Jones Sustainability Index

In September 2008 we were included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI), both the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index. This follows a thorough independent analysis of our corporate economic, environmental and social performance, as well as corporate governance, risk management, branding, climate change mitigation, supply chain standards and labor practices.

We have been listed on the FTSE4Good index since its formation, and have maintained our listing despite the criteria becoming increasingly demanding.

Global Reporting Initiative

Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)

Every year, we prepare a social responsibility report in accordance with the sustainability reporting guidelines of the GRI .  The 2010 CSR Report was rated with “A+”.

UN Global Compact

United Nations (UN) Global Compact

Our human rights policy makes explicit and public our commitment to human rights in the workplace. The policy, which we adopted in 2004, upholds the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the principles of the UN Global Compact , of which we are a signatory since 2005.  Coca-Cola Hellenic is an active member in 15 local UNGC networks in countries in which it operates.

In 2005, together with The Coca-Cola Company and the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River , we signed the Green Danube Partnership , a commitment to protect and preserve the river and its ecosystems. This partnership saw activities in 2010 in eight countries.

UNESDA commitments

We are a member of the Union of European Beverages Associations (UNESDA) and act upon the UNESDA commitments that were first signed in 2005.

These commitments represent public education, healthy lifestyle, physical activity programmes, consumer information, advertising and commercial communication, research, promotions and choice.

CSR Europe

CSR Europe is the leading European business network for CSR. Its members include around 70 multinational corporations and 25 national partner organisations.

CSR Alliance

CSR Alliance

Together with other leaders in corporate social responsibility (CSR), the European Commission Vice-President Günter Verheugen invited us to be part of the CSR Alliance. The initiative aims to share best practice in CSR and encourage more companies to implement and report socially responsible behaviour.

It was launched in 2006 and organised on behalf of the Commission by CSR Europe .
