Engaging our stakeholders

We are addressing our most significant sustainability challenges by consulting and working with suppliers, customers, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), governments, industry, academia and others.

Experts from these groups provide feedback on our challenges, performance and reporting. For the first time, the Company’s report on Social Responsibility has been reviewed by an external stakeholder group (Stakeholder Panel). These discussions and other initiatives help us to map the key stakeholder concerns against the most important issues the business faces and improve our reporting.

Government agencies and civil society

We implement wide-ranging industry commitments such as the EU Platform for Action on Diet, Physical Activity and Health . We are a member of the Union of European Beverages Associations (UNESDA) , which the EU Platform acknowledged as ‘an example of best practice on how to develop and follow up the commitments made’.

We also work with:

Customers

To create value for our customers , our innovative training courses help independent retailers grow their businesses, not just beverage sales. A group-wide customer survey is a key measure of customer satisfaction.

Investors

We participate in investor assessments and conduct briefings specifically for the socially responsible investment (SRI) community. We routinely include sustainability performance in our annual financial report and investor road shows.

Employees

Our regularly conducted survey is the key measure of employee engagement. In 2010, the Company received 16 Employer of Choice awards.

Suppliers

We work with our suppliers to minimise environmental impacts. Our supplier guiding principles outline the commitments Coca-Cola Hellenic adheres to in its workplace and the expectations the company has of its suppliers' workplaces and workplace policies.
